In a "quiet" yet Downtown location close to Washington University, this pet-friendly hotel focuses on folks "getting a good night's sleep" with a bedside "relaxation CD, eye mask and ear buds"; views are mixed when it comes to facilities and service: the "pool is nice, but looks like it could use some updating", rooms have "comfortable beds" but the furniture needs "some minor repairs" and the "staff goes above and beyond" but "doesn't have a good parking guy", plus the "marginal" on-site food means you'll probably "need to seek out a restaurant" nearby.

The doorman was especially friendly, courteous and accommodating. He set the tone for our whole experience.
Construction on I-64 made access off the exit indicated on the map impossible. It took us an hour to find the hotel.

The hotel was very close to the Metrolink. There were also a lot of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Parking is also free on weekends.
The room was very small and outdated. The furniture had an old smell. The bathroom was tiny, however it was all very clean and neat.

The location was convenient to the Zoo.
The fake hardwood floors, the dated furnishings in the room and the industrial style toilet.
The hotel was okay. It seemed and bit below what I expect from a 3 star hotel and from my other experiences with Crowne Plaza Hotels. The hardwood floors made it feel cold and were noisy, especially with a 3 year old along for the trip. ...read more
